About the Role
Kier Transportation is seeking a Site Manager to deliver a diverse range of projects for North and West Northamptonshire Councils. You will manage critical maintenance and major civil engineering schemes including footpath reconstruction, carriageway resurfacing, surface treatments, drainage improvements, traffic signals, and structure repairs on live public highways. This role requires strong leadership, foresight, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Your responsibilities will include creating and championing a positive health and safety culture in line with Kier procedures, ensuring site compliance with Chapter 8 and Construction (Design and Management) regulations, interpreting documents, scheme drawings and costing information in line with NEC4 contract requirements, ensuring quality of work aligns with inspection and testing plans and current specifications, and managing NEC4 change control procedures for early warnings and compensation events.

Experience
Proven NEC contract management experience is essential. Experience managing highways infrastructure projects on live public highways is highly desirable.

Qualifications
HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, NRSWA Supervisor certification, 12D Traffic Management and SMSTS qualifications. A full UK driving licence is essential for this site-based role.
