About the Role
Join Thames Water as an Environment and Sustainability Assurance Specialist and play a key role in shaping a sustainable future for generations to come. You will ensure that Capital Delivery projects not only meet but exceed environmental standards and commitments. Your responsibilities will include promoting continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability performance across projects, communicating current environmental legislation and best practices, and representing the Environmental team as the lead on multiple projects. This involves attending site visits and meetings, reviewing deliverables, and conducting audits during construction phases. You will work innovatively with the Project Engineering team to identify process improvements and support project personnel in managing their carbon and sustainability responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist the Environmental team in internal and external meetings, workshops, management reviews, and forums, while raising awareness of carbon and sustainability targets throughout Capital Delivery.

Experience
- Interest in project delivery with a passion for protecting and enhancing the environment
- Previous experience in the Utility industry is preferable but not essential

- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams
- Holds a valid driver's licence and has access to a car

- Educated to degree level or equivalent in environmental, sustainability, or a related discipline
