About the Role
Are you a passionate Sustainability Consultant looking to make a significant impact? Do you thrive on shaping the future of de-carbonisation and climate resilience for a diverse range of clients? Join Stantec's highly influential built environment Sustainability team to support and provide specialist input in developing low carbon, sustainable solutions across projects ranging from organisational strategy to urban regeneration and strategic new settlements. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of a pipeline of exciting and complex projects, working with local authorities, universities, developers, and asset managers to help organisations achieve a de-carbonised and climate-resilient future. Your responsibilities will include working closely with project teams to guide environmental sustainability and carbon management, embedding net zero principles and climate resilience into developments, undertaking carbon and sustainability assessments such as Energy Strategies, Sustainability Statements, and Whole Lifecycle Carbon Assessments, assisting with bids for future work, supporting organisational sustainability strategy development, conducting research for innovative services, producing high quality reports, preparing thought leadership content, assisting with presentations, and attending site visits and project meetings.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience with Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) and Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) calculations
- Familiarity with OneClick LCA software
- Knowledge of Overheating Assessments and Circular Economy principles
- Good knowledge of the planning system
- Broad understanding of environmental, social, economic and sustainability trends and drivers
- Proficiency with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel

About you
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Strong time and workload management skills
- Hold a full UK driving licence and willing to travel nationally

Qualifications
- Relevant degree with a 2:1 or above
- Membership of a relevant professional institution
