We are looking to recruit a Team Leader for Traffic Orders to join our Healthy Streets and Parking Team who will be responsible for the statutory compliance for the making of Traffic Management Orders for parking and traffic restrictions which contributes to improving public safety.
In this role, you will manage the traffic order making team responsible for preparing and implementing all permanent and temporary traffic regulation orders. You will be responsible for the delivery of the programme and the legality of the orders whilst also managing and mentoring members of the traffic order team.
In addition, you will lead on relevant service improvements including the Digital Map Based Traffic Order project, improving public information and efficiencies in processes.

Experience
Good knowledge and understanding of The Road Traffic Regulation Act and other traffic and highways legislation. Practical experience in traffic order making and ability to provide direction on legal matters associated with drafting and completing traffic orders and statutory notices without legal challenge.
Good working knowledge of traffic and parking design standards.
