About the Role

You will lead and deliver ecological inputs on a diverse portfolio of large infrastructure projects in sectors such as energy, water, renewables, defence, and transport, alongside smaller local projects. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the high standards expected by AECOM and its clients.
Key responsibilities include leading ecological assessments and reports such as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Protected Species Baseline Reports, Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain calculations. You will provide technical leadership to develop pragmatic solutions, manage large-scale projects, lead consultations with clients and stakeholders including planning authorities and statutory bodies, and contribute to the growth of technical capabilities and innovation within the team.
This role offers opportunities to support innovative survey techniques, data capture and reporting, work winning, and leadership development within a supportive environment that includes internal and external training, mentoring, and coaching. Become part of a team of around 150 ecology professionals, including national and global leaders, working collaboratively to deliver sustainable environmental outcomes.
At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive, forward-thinking culture with access to career development, flexible working, technical networks, and volunteering opportunities.
