About the Role
Are you passionate about improving the environmental performance of infrastructure development projects? Join AECOM as a Technical Director in Environmental Impact Assessment within our Environment & Sustainability business, comprising over 650 staff across the UK and Ireland. You will lead multidisciplinary environmental inputs to large-scale infrastructure projects that support the UK’s net zero goals, including energy generation (carbon capture, hydrogen, renewables), energy distribution, rail, highways, regeneration, ecommerce, minerals and waste, water, defence, aviation, commercial, residential and industrial sectors.
You will oversee environmental inputs across all project stages from early strategy and site identification through feasibility, design, construction, and operation. Projects will span multiple consenting regimes such as DCO, TCPA, TWA, and hybrid Bills. Your role will also involve securing new commissions, client relationship management, and leading a team of technical experts within the Environmental Impact team.
As a founding member of the IEMA EIA Quality Mark, AECOM aligns all work with our environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy. You will collaborate with integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints, develop mitigation solutions, and deliver benefits where possible. You will also play an active role in staff development and mentoring, and champion AECOM’s environmental services internally and externally.
Join a global team dedicated to delivering a better world through innovative infrastructure solutions and sustainable legacies.
