About the Role
We’re looking for a Trade Effluent Billing Technologist to join our team and help ensure our business customers are billed accurately and fairly for trade effluent discharges. You will be responsible for making sure Trade Effluent charges are calculated and raised correctly for non-domestic customers. The role involves communicating with retailers, other water companies, and internal teams to resolve billing queries and ensure compliance. You will respond to retailer enquiries within set service levels, providing clear and accurate information. Supporting the Trade Effluent team in meeting regulatory obligations under the Water Industry Act 1991 and MOSL Market Codes is a key part of the role. Building strong working relationships with retailers to improve performance measures such as BRMEX scores and delivering excellent customer service to maintain Thames Water’s reputation are essential responsibilities.

Experience
Experience in customer-facing roles delivering quality service. Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills across different stakeholders. Confidence working with data and interpreting written information.
About you
IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. You should be motivated to deliver excellent customer service and work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
