Hours
6:30 am – 3:45 pm, with 1 week out of 5 on the night shift from 9:00 pm - 5:30 am. You will also participate in an out-of-hours standby rota, with additional payment.

Salary
From £27,465 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
Working as part of a team of 5, this manual role involves the day-to-day maintenance of the Victorian trunk sewer network in London. You will be responsible for routine maintenance, investigations, and safety cover across North and East London. This safety-focused role requires working closely with your team members and includes mandatory work in confined spaces (requiring CP2 confined space rescue qualification), at heights, and lifting heavy loads. Duties include physical maintenance of the sewer network and associated assets such as penstock gates, operating plant and equipment, cleaning, basic maintenance, and fault-finding. This role offers the opportunity to maintain an essential service for customers, protect the environment, and support large construction projects as a key worker.

Experience
Previous manual labouring experience is preferred. Drainage knowledge and a mechanical background are advantageous.

About you
Physically fit and comfortable working in water, at heights, and within confined sewer spaces. Must be clean-shaven due to safety equipment requirements and weigh less than 110kgs at all times. Prepared to work outdoors in challenging environments year-round. Able to participate in a pre-employment medical.

Qualifications
Full manual UK driving licence is essential. A 7.5t licence is desirable. CP2 confined space rescue qualification will be required for the role.
