Full time, including attendance at faults out of hours as part of a standby rota.

£30,350 - £36,100 per year
About the Role
As a Utility Arborist, you will use your technical expertise to deliver a first-class service to our customers with safety as the highest priority. Your primary responsibility will be to clear trees and vegetation near overhead transmission and distribution networks. Working within our arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management division, Environmental Solutions Plus (ESP), you will collaborate with your team to evaluate, prepare, and carry out tree cutting works across a variety of sites. ESP operates nationally from our Ledbury headquarters and holds a strong reputation for the safe and efficient delivery of arboriculture and vegetation management services. You will work within compliance standards set by internal policies and client expectations, ensuring all work is tracked and completed according to client requirements. This role requires a professional, autonomous approach focused on safety and quality service delivery.
Experience
Utility arboriculture experience is essential. Experience working specifically on the SSE Utility Tree Contract is highly desirable. Previous SSE authorisations and permit holders are advantageous.

Qualifications
Hold a valid UK driving licence (B+E licence is an advantage). Required utility arborist units: UA301, UA302, UA303, UA304, UA305. Required chainsaw units: CS30 (201/202), CS31 (203), CS38 (206/306), CS39 (308), CS40 (307). Additional relevant qualifications will be considered an advantage.
