Hours
45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00 am - 4:30 pm. Occasional Saturdays may be required; overtime rate applies. Role involves working on a rota system with standby. Majority of working day may be outdoors.

Salary
Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills

About the Role
We are looking for an Inventory Operator to join Thames Water permanently. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be part of the Inventory Operations and Supply Management team, responsible for the safe custody and real-time visibility of our stock holdings. You will ensure a first-class professional delivery and collection service across all Thames Water and Alliance locations of critical stock and equipment to support operational teams during customer and operational incidents. Internally, this role is referred to as Inventory Operative.
- Operate mechanical handling equipment safely (FLT driving training provided).
- Use SAP to maintain accurate inventory levels and update stock records.
- Safely load and unload vehicles.
- Manage daily receipts from Distribution Centres.
- Action returns against work orders.
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout the site and stores.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment and critical stock.
- Ensure the safe custody of Thames Water stock and equipment.

Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is essential.
- FLT licence is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.

About you
- Hold a valid, full UK driving licence and have your own transport.
- Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, specifically Excel.
- Comfortable with manual handling, including lifting up to 25 kg.
- Able to work outdoors and on a rota system with standby duties.
