Salary
Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.
About the Role
We are looking for an Inventory Operator to join Thames Water permanently as a Warehouse Operative. You will be part of the Inventory Operations and Supply Management team, responsible for the safe custody and real-time visibility of our stock holdings. You will ensure a first-class professional delivery and collection service across all Thames Water and Alliance locations of critical stock and equipment to support operational teams during customer and operational incidents. Internally, this role is referred to as an Inventory Operative.
Your key responsibilities will include operating mechanical handling equipment safely (FLT driving training provided), using SAP to maintain accurate inventory levels and stock records, safely loading and unloading vehicles, managing daily receipts from Distribution Centres, actioning returns against work orders, maintaining good housekeeping throughout the site and stores, and ensuring timely delivery and collection of equipment and critical stock.
Experience
Previous warehouse experience is essential.
About you
You must hold a valid, full UK driving licence and have your own transport. You should have excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic computer skills, specifically in Excel, are required. You must be comfortable with manual handling, including lifting up to 25 kg. An FLT licence is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required for this role; however, relevant training such as FLT driving will be provided.
