About the Role
Join Forestry England, the country's largest land manager, dedicated to growing and caring for the nation’s forests for people, nature, and the economy. As a Works Supervisor (Harvesting), you will support the Harvesting Forester (Standing Sales) and District Forester (Harvesting) by preparing standing sales parcels for national and local sales events. Your role includes frontline supervision and site management of Tariffing operations by contractors, liaising with Beat Foresters, Civil Engineering Teams, Archaeology surveyors, and others. You will record and file site visit reports, support operational and Health and Safety standards, and assist with contract management of harvesting sites and the tree safety programme. The role may also require participation in the South England Forest District Duty Officer roster, providing 24-hour emergency contact cover approximately four times per year.
