About the Role
Aztrum is pleased to be working with a highly regarded, independent environmental consultancy in their search for an Air Quality Consultant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take on more responsibility, work on a varied portfolio of projects, and join a genuinely collaborative business. One of the biggest attractions of this opportunity is the company’s employee-owned structure. Rather than working for external shareholders, you’ll have a genuine stake in the success of the business and benefit from a profit-share scheme, something still relatively rare within the environmental consultancy market. The successful candidate will be involved in preparing Air Quality Assessments for a wide range of development projects, undertaking dispersion modelling and interpreting modelling outputs, reviewing and analysing air quality monitoring data, preparing technical reports to support planning applications, providing air quality advice to clients and multidisciplinary project teams, liaising with local authorities and other stakeholders, managing projects from initial instruction through to completion, and working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
Benefits
The company offers an excellent overall package including an employee-owned business structure, profit-share scheme, competitive salary, generous pension, flexible and hybrid working, excellent work-life balance, strong opportunities for career progression, support towards professional membership and chartership, varied and interesting project work, a collaborative and supportive company culture, and the opportunity to have a genuine voice in the future direction of the business.
Experience
2–5 years’ professional experience within Air Quality consultancy, experience completing air quality assessments for planning applications, knowledge of UK air quality legislation, guidance and planning policy, experience with air dispersion modelling (ideally using ADMS-Roads or similar software).
About you
Motivated and responsible consultant eager to take on more responsibility, able to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, and comfortable liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, full UK driving licence.
