About the Role
Join AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, as an Air Quality Graduate Consultant and kick start your career in air quality. You will work alongside experienced specialists on a variety of projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, supporting air quality assessments for local authorities, government, infrastructure providers, developers and industrial clients. Projects may include National Highways air quality assessments, air quality management studies, monitoring for major infrastructure projects such as the Silvertown Tunnel and HS2, and development of emission inventories and digital tools. This role offers valuable experience within a well-established consultancy and the opportunity to contribute to impactful environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct air quality monitoring including site assessment, preparation and maintenance
- Perform air quality dispersion modelling combined with GIS
- Analyze data and contribute to emissions inventory work
- Provide air quality input into environmental statements
- Assist in coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams
- Support tender and proposal preparation

Experience
Previous consultancy experience, work placements or relevant voluntary experience are advantageous but not essential. Awareness of GIS, modelling or programming skills is a plus. A full driving license is beneficial due to travel requirements for site surveys.

Qualifications
Ideally an MSc or PhD in Air Quality or related disciplines such as Meteorology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Project Management, Climate Science or Environmental Management with an air quality focus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
