About the Role
Protect lives and landscapes with AECOM by delivering expert flood risk solutions that safeguard communities and infrastructure. Join our dynamic and rapidly growing Water Business Line as a Flood Modeller and help deliver high-profile, influential projects across the UK and beyond. Based in one of the UK’s most ambitious northern engineering hubs, you will play a key role in shaping resilient, future-proof solutions for communities, infrastructure, and the environment. No two days are the same, offering you opportunities to grow, innovate, and collaborate with a team that thrives on variety.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality flood modelling and hydrology projects. Under general supervision, you will undertake a range of technical and administrative tasks related to groundwater investigations and hydrological studies. You will contribute to assignments across hydrology and related disciplines, working to defined project terms with regular guidance from senior professionals. Your responsibilities will include analysing hydrological and environmental data, developing models, preparing clear technical reports, and monitoring data to assess impacts of upstream activities while ensuring compliance with permits and regulatory requirements.
Join a team of around 700 water experts across the UK and Ireland, collaborating with top-tier engineers and consultants to deliver projects from concept to completion. At AECOM, you will thrive in an inclusive and forward-thinking environment with access to career development, technical networks, volunteering days, and a flexible hybrid working model to support your work-life balance. We welcome flexible and part-time working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.
