About the Role
Join AECOM’s air quality team and kick start your career in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will work alongside experienced professionals delivering air quality assessments and environmental consultancy projects across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Your role will involve assisting with air quality monitoring, dispersion modelling, data analysis, emissions inventories, and contributing to environmental statements. Projects include assessments for National Highways, local authorities, infrastructure providers, developers and industrial clients. You will gain valuable experience working on high-profile projects such as the Silvertown Tunnel and HS2, while developing your technical skills and professional expertise within a global consultancy.

Experience
Previous consultancy experience, work placements or relevant voluntary work is beneficial but not essential. Awareness of GIS, modelling or programming skills is an advantage. A full driving licence is desirable due to travel requirements for site surveys.
About you
Strong numeracy and communication skills with the confidence to engage effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking with ambition and drive. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing priorities and adapting to changing project demands. Excellent research and report writing skills with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
Ideally an MSc or PhD in Air Quality or a related discipline such as Meteorology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Project Management, Climate Science or Environmental Management with an air quality focus. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Commitment to professional development and progression towards chartership with IAQM.
