Hybrid working arrangement with a mix of site and office-based work. Expectation to be in the office at least 1-2 days per week when not on site.

About the Role
Working closely with colleagues in the Landscape Team and multi-disciplinary teams, you will contribute to delivering successful project outcomes across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK. The role involves both site and desk-based work, including attending sites to conduct tree surveys in accordance with BS5837 using tablet-based data capture software. You will support the writing and collation of tree-related reports, schedules, and plans such as Tree Surveys, Impact Assessments (AIA), and Method Statements (AMS). Collaborating with arboriculture colleagues and project teams, you will help ensure successful project delivery.
In the short term, you will establish strong working relationships within the Arboriculture and Landscape Team and contribute immediately to project delivery and fee-earning work. You will have opportunities to project manage your own projects appropriate to your experience.
Over the medium term, you will develop your career with increased responsibility for managing larger arboriculture projects and building client relationships that support a rewarding career and profitable outcomes. Working on multi-disciplinary projects will also allow you to develop relationships with colleagues in other disciplines to support bids and secure new commissions.
In the long term, subject to performance, there is potential for career progression into management roles within the Arboriculture and Landscape Team.
The role requires an enthusiastic arboriculturist capable of undertaking tree surveys in accordance with BS 5837 across various sectors. You will use computer tablets to capture survey data and should have an understanding or enthusiasm for AutoCAD and/or tree survey software such as AxciScape (training provided).
You will be responsible for small to medium sized projects under the direction of senior team members and must demonstrate good organisational and project management skills.
The working environment is a blend of site and office work, with a higher proportion expected on site.
Experience
- Understanding of BS5837:2012 ‘Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition and Construction – Recommendations’
- Good tree identification skills
- Experience conducting tree surveys and preparing reports, including Impact Assessments (AIA) and Method Statements (AMS) with guidance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD and/or tree survey related software
- Ability to work independently to meet project deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK, including occasional overnight stays
- Valid driving licence is essential
About You
Enthusiastic and motivated arboriculturist with strong organisational and project management skills. Able to build effective working relationships within multi-disciplinary teams and with clients. Comfortable working both on site and in the office with a flexible approach to hybrid working.
Qualifications
Relevant arboriculture qualifications or demonstrable experience aligned with the role requirements. Training will be provided for specific software such as AxciScape.
