About the Role
Tetra Tech’s Water Consultancy is seeking experienced Leakage Technicians to support leakage investigation across a Scottish Water contract. You will carry out detailed leakage surveys, use leak detection equipment to locate and quantify losses, support repair promotion and maintenance teams, and record findings via data collection apps. The work covers public and private supply areas across Scotland and contributes directly to regulatory leakage targets and network performance.

In the short term, you will deliver accurate leak detection and high-quality field data. Over the medium term, you will improve network performance through targeted interventions and support team efficiencies. Longer term, experienced technicians can progress to lead roles, training and mentoring positions, or broader operational responsibilities within Tetra Tech.

Experience
Proven use of, or rapid learning in, correlation, ground microphones, noise logging, step testing, and pressure zero testing to pinpoint leaks accurately. Experience in leakage or water network roles is desirable but not essential for some positions.

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, physically resilient to handle heavy items, and able to operate safely on highways and in confined spaces when required. Strong customer service skills, clear communication with clients and maintenance teams, and willingness to support colleagues across tasks and locations. Dependable attendance, flexible to work variable hours including occasional nights or weekends, and willing to travel across Scotland.

Qualifications
Full UK driving licence required. Willingness to undertake mandatory drugs and alcohol testing and a DBS check. Desirable qualifications include EUSR Water Hygiene, EUSR DOMS, NRSWA Unit 2 accreditation, and Leakage certifications.
