About the Role
Thames Water has embarked on a 5-year multi-billion investment plan for London to protect rivers and serve customers and communities. Reporting directly to the Head of Region, you will be responsible for the capital programmes across the London wastewater regions, including sewage treatment works, networks, and pumping stations. You will own the strategy and oversee delivery of capital works, ensuring frequent project updates are communicated to Operations Teams and that project interactions and dependencies are identified and planned for.
Key responsibilities include acting as the project liaison between Capital Delivery and Operations teams, managing directly managed capital works budgets (reactive, planned, minor capital works, and health and safety capital allocations), and managing regional risks from identification through to project delivery. You will collaborate with System Planning to identify investment gaps and develop proposals for short to medium-term investments.
For larger investment schemes, you will represent the Operations Team and be responsible for identifying, developing, accepting, and implementing solutions that deliver benefits across the 5-year AMP. You will work closely with key operations and business stakeholders to analyse risk, balance priorities, and report performance against agreed targets. You will also coordinate operational input into capital solutions associated with the AMP delivery programme.
This role requires travel across the region as needed.
