About the Role
Join AECOM's Water Resources team and contribute to projects for domestic and international private and public sector clients. You will work on a variety of projects including dams and reservoirs, water supply systems, and flood risk management. This role offers a diverse range of experience tailored to your interests and career goals. You will work closely with experienced engineers in a supportive environment that promotes learning and development.
Your responsibilities will include design tasks such as creating and modifying drawings using CAD software, producing calculations, and supporting project management activities including research, data gathering, and report preparation. You will have opportunities for site visits to gain practical experience through surveys, inspections, and shadowing senior engineers. Collaboration and communication with clients, contractors, and other professionals will be an integral part of your role.

Experience
Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
About you
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, and driven. You should have good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work independently while maintaining initiative and focus. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) are essential, and good report writing skills are beneficial. You should be capable of structuring and prioritising work effectively and able to consider the wider financial and commercial implications of your actions.
Qualifications
BEng or MEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification or equivalent. MSc qualifications and water-related modules are advantageous. Willingness to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE and CIWEM is required. Demonstrable interest in water projects is essential.
