About the Role
Join AECOM's water resources team and contribute to impactful projects for domestic and international clients across the public and private sectors. You will gain experience working on dams and reservoirs, water supply systems, and flood risk management projects. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers during the design phase, using CAD software to create and modify drawings, perform calculations, and support design tasks. You will assist with project management activities including research, data gathering, and report preparation. Practical experience will be gained through site visits involving surveys, inspections, and shadowing senior engineers.

Effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and other professionals will be essential to discuss project requirements, progress, and challenges. Requirements

Experience
Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.

About you
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, and driven with ambition. You should have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work independently while maintaining initiative and focus. You will be capable of structuring and prioritising work effectively in cooperation with the team and able to consider wider financial and commercial implications of your actions.

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) are essential, and good report writing skills are beneficial. You should be willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE and CIWEM.

Qualifications
BEng or MEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification or equivalent. A related MSc and water-related modules are advantageous.

Demonstrable interest in water projects is important, as is the capability to satisfy client and business expectations.
