About the Role
Join AECOM's Water Resources team and contribute to projects for domestic and international private and public sector clients. You will gain experience working on dams and reservoirs, water supply systems, and flood risk management projects. This role offers a diverse range of opportunities tailored to your interests and career goals. You will work closely with experienced engineers, developing your skills in a supportive environment that actively promotes learning and development.
Your responsibilities will include design tasks such as creating and modifying drawings using CAD software, producing calculations, and supporting project management activities including research, data gathering, and report preparation. You will have opportunities for site visits to gain practical experience through surveys, inspections, and shadowing senior engineers. Collaboration and communication with clients, contractors, and other professionals will be key to discussing project requirements, progress, and challenges.

Experience
Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are key.
About you
Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient with ambition and drive. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to prioritise and structure work effectively while considering wider financial and commercial implications. Demonstrable interest in water-related projects and commitment to professional development.
Qualifications
BEng or MEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification or equivalent. MSc qualifications and water-related modules are advantageous. Basic computer skills including Word and Excel are essential, with good report writing skills beneficial. Willingness to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE and CIWEM.
