About the Role
Join AECOM’s water resources team to work on diverse projects including dams and reservoirs, water supply systems, and flood risk management for domestic and international clients. You will gain hands-on experience through design tasks using CAD software, producing calculations, and supporting project management activities such as research, data gathering, and report preparation. The role includes site visits to conduct surveys and inspections, shadowing experienced engineers, and collaborating with clients, contractors, and other professionals to discuss project progress and challenges. Experience
Relevant work experience is advantageous but not essential. Enthusiasm, hard work, and technical proficiency are key.
About you
Ambitious and driven with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to work independently while maintaining initiative and focus. Capable of structuring and prioritising work effectively within a team. Demonstrable interest in water-related projects and the ability to consider wider financial and commercial implications of your work.
Qualifications
BEng or MEng in Civil or Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 2:1 classification or equivalent. MSc related to Civil or Environmental Engineering is an advantage. Modules related to water are beneficial. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) are essential, and good report writing skills are beneficial. Willingness to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE and CIWEM.
