About the Role
This is a unique Commercial Contracts role within Thames Water as part of the Strategic Resource Options (SRO) team, developing a portfolio of five major infrastructure projects, including a new reservoir in Oxfordshire and other water supply resilience programmes with a total capital value exceeding £5 billion. You will work closely with the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain for the SRO Directorate, providing commercial and contractual management support for technical and programme management partners.
- Support technical and programme partner service managers.
- Build and provide commercial support capability under NEC4 contracts.
- Ensure Thames Water and Service Managers correctly discharge their commercial responsibilities within the Partner Frameworks.
- Offer commercial and contractual guidance to Service Managers.
- Collaborate with the Head of Programme Controls and Insights, the SRO Senior Leadership Team, and others to ensure supply chain partners deliver outputs, outcomes, resources, and services that meet required standards and provide best value.
- Lead effective performance measurement, value management, and change control processes.

Experience
- Proven strong negotiation and influencing skills with experience managing multiple stakeholders.
- Significant leadership experience on multi-billion-pound major infrastructure projects such as construction, highways, utilities, railways, or the Tideway Tunnel.
- Previous senior commercial quantity surveying or commercial management experience.
- Experience leading major programmes and managing delivery partners or contractors on behalf of client entities.
- NEC contract experience, preferably within professional services or construction.
- Excellent leadership skills and a credible presence.
