Hours
Standard working hours: 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. The role includes participation in a standby rota with extended hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm and weekend working. Additional payment is provided for standby duties.

Salary
Up to £29,349 per annum

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to be right at the heart of things, acting as the friendly face of Thames Water when meeting our customers. Each year, over 500,000 checks are run on water samples collected from treatment centres, reservoirs, and a mix of customer homes to ensure the highest water quality.

As a Customer Water Quality Officer, you will be on the move frequently, travelling between different customers and sites as part of a lively team covering a large area. Driving is highly desirable for this role.

Your main responsibilities will include testing water samples in domestic homes and businesses, managing your sampling records, and maintaining sampling equipment to industry standards. You may also assist with investigating supply issues or customer complaints occasionally.

The role is based in Latton - Cirencester, and you will be supported with full training to carry out your duties effectively.

Experience
Experience driving medium-sized vehicles confidently in busy, high-traffic areas is essential. Customer-facing experience is required, with comfort visiting domestic houses and businesses.

About you
You must hold a clean manual driving licence. You should be organised, good at planning routes, and comfortable working independently. Good computer literacy and attention to detail are important as this is a technical role requiring adherence to detailed procedures. Knowledge of the water industry is a plus but not essential, as full training will be provided.
