About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Document Manager to join Thames Water in delivering strategic regional water resources solutions, including Strategic Regional Options (SROs). This role offers the chance to develop your career by participating in projects that are at the forefront of the water industry and critical to ensuring long-term water supply for customers.

As a Document Manager, you will support the Thames Water Strategic Resource Option Portfolio team by managing client-side document control under the guidance of the Senior Information Manager and aligned with the SRO Digital Strategy.

Your responsibilities will include accurate management and safeguarding of all SRO portfolio documentation produced by Thames Water and its technical partners. This includes processes, procedures, manuals, reports, correspondence, and other supporting documents. You will work to tight deadlines ensuring consistent adherence to processes and procedures by all internal and external parties.

The role requires effective delivery of document control and management strategies, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with information deliverables and alignment with production methods and procedures. Flexibility is essential as priorities and deadlines may change.

Key duties include:
- Collaborating closely with the Senior Information Manager to ensure standards, systems, procedures, and processes are applied and managed across the project portfolio.
- Supporting the development and implementation of a Document Management Plan.
- Acting as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, proactively identifying and resolving issues related to information management systems and processes through audits, reviews, and feedback.
- Maintaining project Common Data Environment (CDE) tools, file structures, containers, and workflows; managing access control and user permissions.
- Conducting quality assurance of documentation and information exchanges in line with Thames Water requirements, BS EN ISO 19650, and UK BIM Framework guidance.
- Supporting information management and collaboration via company platforms such as SharePoint, Asite, and other stakeholder tools (e.g., ProjectWise).
- Ensuring published documents are accurate, comply with company standards and policies, and protect confidential and proprietary information.
- Supporting the delivery of training related to information systems, tools, and processes.

Requirements

Experience
- Previous experience managing a small team of Document Controllers.
- Proven understanding of how information management practices can drive tangible process improvements.
- Experience conducting and overseeing information management in line with BS EN ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework.
- Proficiency with SharePoint and other Information Management Systems such as Asite, ProjectWise, Business Collaborator, and Aconex.
- Strong understanding of ISO 19650 principles and UK BIM Framework guidance related to CDE, Information Containers, and Information Exchange.
- Good knowledge of Cyber Security principles, particularly Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Experience creating and developing templates and guidance documents.
- Ability to support multiple stakeholders and foster collaborative relationships.
