Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities which can increase earning potential by up to £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.

Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.

About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our Northeast Water Productions Area team as an Electrical Technician. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, timely, and effective manner with minimum supervision. This ensures all sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers.
This role offers an excellent chance to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact by actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Key responsibilities include ensuring health and safety compliance, undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms and fault finding, installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations, recording work and asset information to improve business performance, identifying future risks, providing specialist technical advice, coaching and developing staff including apprentices, and delivering an excellent customer experience by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.

Requirements

Experience
- Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations.
- Experience in fault diagnosis, maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical and mechanical plant.

Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering (NVQ or C&G Level 3).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
