38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:36 pm plus standby rota

Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus overtime opportunities

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team within the Wastewater Division. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work ensures all sites remain operational, benefiting our customers and helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
- Prioritise health, safety, and well-being of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and visitors by complying with Health and Safety regulations and Thames Water guidelines.
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, fault find, fix or escalate issues, and install new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Record work and asset information to improve business performance, identify future risks, and recommend necessary changes.
- Provide specialist technical advice, coach, train, and develop staff including apprentices.
- Deliver excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.
All necessary PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and call.

Requirements

Experience
- Time-served electrical apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working with electrical systems in a maintenance or similar environment.

- Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
