Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 3:36 pm, plus standby rota payments. Overtime opportunities available, potentially increasing earnings by £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.

Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance teams. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work ensures all sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to reducing Thames Water's environmental impact by helping to reduce pollution from our sites.

Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritising health, safety, and well-being by complying with Health and Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, fixing issues or escalating as necessary.
- Installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance and identifying future risks.
- Providing specialist technical advice, coaching, training, and developing staff, including apprentices.
- Delivering excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.

All PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and on call.

Requirements

Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications
18th Edition preferred but training can be provided.
Full UK driving licence required.
