Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:36 pm, plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities available upon completion of essential company training.
Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team within the Wastewater Division. In this role, you will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and effectively with minimum supervision. Your work ensures that all sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers.

Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritising health, safety, and well-being of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and visitors by complying with Health and Safety regulations and Thames Water guidelines.
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, fixing issues or escalating as necessary.
- Performing daily planned maintenance of plant and equipment and installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance, identifying potential risks, and recommending changes.
- Providing specialist technical advice with up-to-date knowledge, coaching, training, and developing staff including apprentices.
- Delivering excellent customer experience by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.
All PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and call.
Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.

- Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry.

- Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
