Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance teams across London and the Thames Valley. In this role, you will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work will ensure that all sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers and contribute to reducing pollution and Thames Water's environmental impact.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Prioritising health, safety, and well-being by complying with Health and Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, fixing issues or escalating as needed.
- Installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance and identifying potential risks for resolution.
- Providing specialist technical advice, coaching, training, and developing staff, including apprentices.
- Delivering excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.
All necessary PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and on call. Completion of essential company training can increase your earning potential by up to £8,000-£10,000 per annum through standby and overtime payments.
Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications
18th Edition preferred but training can be provided.
