Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance team within the Wastewater Division. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work ensures that all sites remain operational, benefiting our customers and helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritising health, safety, and well-being of yourself, colleagues, contractors, and visitors by complying with Health and Safety regulations and Thames Water guidelines
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, fixing issues or escalating as necessary, and installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance, identifying potential risks, and recommending solutions
- Providing specialist technical advice, coaching, training, and developing staff including apprentices
- Delivering excellent customer service by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers
Experience
- Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working with electrical systems in a maintenance environment
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues or escalate when necessary

- Knowledge and awareness of relevant Health and Safety issues
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
