Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm plus standby rota payments. Overtime opportunities available, potentially increasing earnings by £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.

Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance teams. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work ensures all sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact by actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.

Key responsibilities include:
- Prioritising health, safety, and well-being by complying with Health and Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, fixing or escalating issues, and installing new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Recording work and asset information to improve business performance, identifying future risks, and recommending changes.
- Providing specialist technical advice, coaching, training, and developing staff, including apprentices.
- Delivering excellent customer experience by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.

Requirements

Experience
- Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition qualification preferred but training can be provided.
- Proven problem solver able to identify issues, implement solutions, or escalate as necessary.
- Experience providing technical expertise to internal and external staff and contractors.

Qualifications
- NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 18th Edition electrical qualification preferred (training available if not held).
