Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 3:36 pm plus standby rota payments. Overtime opportunities available, potentially increasing earnings by £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.

Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus company van, tools, and PPE provided.

About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Maintenance teams. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimal supervision. Your work ensures all sites remain operational, benefiting our customers and helping to reduce environmental impact and pollution from our sites.
- Prioritise health, safety, and well-being by complying with Health and Safety at Work regulations and Thames Water’s guidelines.
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, fault find, fix or escalate issues, and install new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
- Record work and asset information to improve business performance, identify future risks, and recommend changes.
- Provide specialist technical advice, coach and train staff including apprentices.
- Deliver excellent customer experience by interacting professionally and respectfully with internal and external customers.

Requirements

Experience
- Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering.
- 18th Edition qualification preferred but training can be provided.
- Proven problem solver able to identify and resolve or escalate issues.
- Experience providing technical expertise to internal and external staff and contractors.

- Knowledge and awareness of relevant Health and Safety issues.

- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 18th Edition wiring regulations preferred (training available if not held).
