Salary
Up to £42,000 per annum depending on skills and experience, with potential to increase by £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training through Standby rota payments and Overtime
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our Sewage Treatment Works team in Cassington. You will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify, or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment safely, efficiently, and with minimum supervision. Your work will ensure all sites remain operational, helping to reduce pollution and improve Thames Water's environmental impact.
Key responsibilities include ensuring health, safety and wellbeing by complying with regulations and guidelines, undertaking reactive and planned maintenance, responding to alarms, fault finding, installing new plant and equipment in line with standards, recording work and asset information to improve business performance, identifying future risks and recommending solutions, providing specialist technical advice, coaching and developing staff including apprentices, and delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers in a professional and respectful manner.
All necessary PPE, tools, and a company van will be provided when on duty and on call.
Experience
Time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or holding NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering. Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations preferred but training can be provided.

Qualifications
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred. 18th Edition wiring regulations knowledge desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
