About the Role

As an Energy Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in driving genuine change by developing and implementing data solutions that support our energy and sustainability goals. You will work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to build end-to-end data pipelines, automate analysis, and deliver rich business intelligence to stakeholders across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include data ingestion by connecting to third party APIs using Python, data modelling with ETL tools to generate curated datasets, and supporting database development and management using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant platforms. You will automate routine analyses, support migration of complex models to the data platform, and maintain governance procedures to ensure data integrity.
You will collaborate regularly with teams across front, middle, and back office, including Operations, Finance, and senior management, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Additionally, you will provide training and support to non-technical users, troubleshoot data-related issues, and contribute to Veolia’s carbon reporting initiatives.

Experience
Proven experience in data engineering and analytics, with expertise in Power BI, dbt, Databricks, and Azure. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data manipulation libraries and frameworks. Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and big data technologies.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
