Engineering Project Manager


Location
Coppermills, covering North West London sites.
Hours
Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
Salary
Up to £56,000 per annum, plus a car allowance of £4,500 per annum.
About the Role
This role seeks a self-motivated candidate to manage engineering projects end-to-end across Thames Water’s operational sites and estate. You will manage all aspects of each CAPEX project, including initial scoping, competitively tendering the work, contractor procurement, site setup and inductions, health and safety inspections, commissioning, training, and handover to the operations teams. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million. Your responsibilities include overseeing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, financial forecasting, and managing multiple live projects simultaneously. You will also oversee the commissioning and handover of completed projects to operations teams, ensuring all completion documents are available.
Experience
Experience in Construction or Engineering Project Management is essential.
About you
You should preferably have a background in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, with formal qualifications strongly encouraged. You must be able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, work with minimum supervision, and have a solid understanding of Health and Safety standards, particularly in construction. Knowledge of Clean Water Processing and/or Wastewater treatment is advantageous.
Qualifications
Ideally, you should hold at least a BTEC/HND in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent experience.
