About the Role
As an ETP Operator at Veolia, you will operate the plant according to schedule and maintain discharge water quality per permit specifications. Your responsibilities will include collecting and analysing samples per work instructions, adjusting flows and chemical dosing based on results, calibrating instrumentation, and troubleshooting plant issues with team support. You will maintain accurate data collection and reporting, order consumable replacements, perform housekeeping and grounds maintenance, and report abnormal events to management following company procedures. Additionally, you will assist with COSHH/risk assessments and safety/environmental audits, liaise with clients, authorities, agencies, contractors, and consultants, and comply with all health, safety, and statutory regulations. The role requires providing standby cover and working flexibly to meet operational demands. Experience
Experience operating water treatment plants or chemical processes is essential. Proficiency with SCADA systems, standard software (Google/Microsoft), and PDA devices is required. Knowledge of Risk & Assurance principles including Risk Assessments, COSHH, PPE, Lone Working, and Environmental awareness is important. Competence in production monitoring, instrumentation calibration/validation, and first-line maintenance capabilities such as cleaning, greasing, calibration, and condition monitoring is expected.

You should have strong administrative skills including logs, records, work orders, and stock management. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to alarms with accurate interpretation is crucial.
