About the Role
AECOM is seeking Senior Landscape Architects to join and support the growth of our UK&I Landscape Architecture team. As part of one of the UK&I’s largest and most diverse landscape practices, you will contribute to a wide range of regional and global major projects including exemplar regeneration, energy transition, and infrastructure schemes. Projects range from Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects to local scale developments, offering the opportunity to work in multi-disciplinary teams and influence design from an early stage to create a lasting landscape legacy. You will support progress towards net zero while delivering wider environmental and social benefits.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable expertise in landscape planning and assessment, particularly in energy transition sectors such as wind, solar, hydrogen, nuclear, storage, and grid connections, as well as residential and defence projects. This role offers the chance to join a team of acknowledged experts in landscape planning that is expanding.

Experience
- Proven technical expertise in preparing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs), Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIAs), and evidence-base documents in line with best practice.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the UK planning system as it relates to landscape architecture.
- Experience undertaking site surveys and analysis using innovative processes.
- Ability to produce and oversee reports, drawings, and technical documentation using appropriate software.
- Competence in communicating clearly through technical reports, meetings, and workshops.
- Experience providing guidance, mentoring, and development support to junior staff, including acting as a Chartership mentor.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Understanding of project management including financial control, reporting, and programme management.

Qualifications
- Landscape Institute accredited Bachelor’s degree, Diploma and/or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competent in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud software (preferred).
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS or ProjectWise is advantageous.
- UK Driving licence for remote site visits.
