Location
Bedfordshire and surrounding areas including Milton Keynes, Flitwick, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, Luton, Sandy and Biggleswade. Travel within approximately a one-hour commute from your home postcode is required. Please only apply if you live within 10-15 miles of Bedford or are planning to relocate.

Hours
Flexible working options available with 3- or 4-day contracts. Availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month is required.

£27,579 per annum

About the Role
Join the RSPB Fundraising Team and help inspire people to support nature and wildlife across the UK. As a Fundraiser, you will spend your days out in the community speaking to members of the public and encouraging support for nature conservation. Your typical duties will include travelling to a variety of local venues and events using a company van (with fuel and parking costs covered), setting up engaging fundraising stands and displays, and discussing the RSPB’s work and conservation mission. You will encourage people to support the RSPB through regular direct debit donations. This role involves working outdoors, meeting new people daily, and making a genuine difference for wildlife. While the role can be challenging at times, resilience, confidence and a positive attitude are essential and it is incredibly rewarding. Full induction and training will be provided at RSPB HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire, with travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Experience
Experience in fundraising, sales or customer service is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.

Confident speaking to members of the public and asking for donations. Positive, resilient and self-motivated. Comfortable working alone and outdoors in all weather conditions. Willing to travel locally with journeys averaging up to one hour each way from home. Available to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month.

Qualifications
A full UK driving licence is required. This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
