Location
Mid Kent area, within 10-15 miles of Maidstone. Regular travel to nearby towns, venues and events throughout the local region is required.

Hours
Flexible working options available, with 3- or 4-day contracts. Availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month is required.

£27,579 per annum

About the Role
Join the RSPB Fundraising Team in Mid Kent and help inspire people to support nature and wildlife across the UK. As part of the fundraising team, you will spend your days out in the community, speaking to members of the public and encouraging support for nature conservation. Typical duties include travelling to a variety of local venues and events using a company van (with fuel and parking costs covered), setting up engaging fundraising stands and displays, and speaking with the public about the RSPB’s work and conservation mission. You will encourage people to support the RSPB through regular direct debit donations. The role involves working outdoors, meeting new people daily, and making a genuine difference for wildlife. While the role can be challenging at times, resilience, confidence and a positive attitude are important, and the work is incredibly rewarding. Full induction and training will be provided at RSPB HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire, with travel and accommodation covered. You will be supported by a dedicated mental health assistance programme and a supportive, inclusive team environment.

Experience
Experience in fundraising, sales or customer service is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.

Comfortable working towards individual and team targets in a positive and supportive environment. Passionate about people and conservation. Confident speaking to members of the public and asking for donations. Positive, resilient and self-motivated. Comfortable working alone and outdoors in all weather conditions. Willing to travel locally, with journeys averaging up to one hour each way from home. Available to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month.

Qualifications
A full UK driving licence is essential. This role is not eligible for UK Visa Sponsorship; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
