About the Role
Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Sustainability Consultant within our market-leading Buildings discipline based in Plymouth. You will be part of the South West Benchmarking team, working closely with two specialists and a multidisciplinary group of around 15 MEP and BIM professionals. This role offers broad project exposure and opportunities to develop your technical expertise in an integrated engineering environment.

You will support a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including Defence (MOD), Justice (MOJ), Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, and Data Centres. Your responsibilities will include workload planning, performance benchmarking, team development initiatives, and delivering data-driven insights to improve project outcomes and operational efficiency.

Day-to-day tasks include supporting sustainability certification assessments and documentation such as BREEAM, DREAM, and LEED, assisting with quality assurance reviews and submissions, analysing and managing project data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive sustainable design outcomes. You will also contribute to reporting, data management, and project coordination activities while developing your technical knowledge and professional skills.

We are committed to supporting your achievement of relevant professional qualifications, with the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) being the applicable accreditation for this role.

This role will enable you to contribute to creating high-quality, sustainable, and resilient buildings that positively impact communities and the environment. You will help clients reduce environmental impact, enhance building performance, and create spaces that improve wellbeing, supporting sustainable development goals and innovative solutions for future-ready buildings.

Requirements

Experience
Previous sustainability experience and proficiency in MS Office Suite are desirable but not essential. We value potential and enthusiasm over prior experience.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Geography, or related fields is required. Commitment to pursuing professional chartership through supported progression plans is expected.
