About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our company and provide excellent communal garden maintenance services to our Registered Social Landlord (RSL) and Housing Association clients in Dagenham and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical grounds maintenance experience who enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of grounds and communal garden maintenance duties, including:

• Grass cutting
• Strimming
• Litter picking
• Hedge cutting
• Pruning
• Spraying
• Maintaining flower beds
• Maintaining shrubs
• General communal garden maintenance
• Providing a professional and high-quality service to Housing Association and RSL clients
• Working effectively as part of a team
• Following relevant health, safety and company procedures

Essential

• Experience in garden or grounds maintenance
• Full and clean UK manual driving licence
• No previous motoring convictions or driving disqualifications
• Must be over 21 years of age for fleet vehicle insurance purposes
• Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom
• Physically fit and able to carry out outdoor grounds maintenance duties
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, professional and hardworking approach

Desirable

• At least 1 year of garden maintenance experience
• Experience working on communal grounds
• Experience working with Housing Associations or Registered Social Landlords
• Familiarity with grounds maintenance equipment and tools

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8 hours per day
• 40 hours per week
• Occasional Saturday overtime may be available for employees who wish to increase their earnings
• Work is carried out in person
