About the Role

We are seeking 2 experienced Multi-Skilled Operatives with a strong joinery background to join our team delivering maintenance and refurbishment works within the social housing sector. These are hands-on roles with supervisory responsibilities, ideal for candidates looking to progress into a full supervisory position in the future.

One position will predominantly cover Leeds and Bradford, while the second position will cover South Yorkshire, including Rotherham, Sheffield and surrounding areas.

Successful applicants will work across multiple occupied properties each day, typically attending 3–4 properties daily, carrying out high-quality repairs and maintenance while supporting the day-to-day running of projects.

Typical duties will include door easing and cutting, joinery repairs, installations and other multi-skilled maintenance tasks. Candidates will be expected to lead by example on site, ensure works are completed safely and to a high standard, and provide excellent customer service to tenants and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery and multi-skilled maintenance works within occupied social housing properties
• Complete a variety of repairs and installations, including door easing/cutting, adjustments, repairs and general maintenance tasks
• Work across approximately 3–4 properties per day
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Support site operations and provide leadership on jobs where required
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with tenants and clients
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures

Essential Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Joinery
• Valid CSCS Card
• Previous experience within the social housing sector
• Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Operative with a joinery bias
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements

• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) qualification
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience
• Additional trade skills

We’re looking for dependable, professional individuals who can work independently and take pride in delivering quality work. Candidates holding an SSSTS card will be particularly attractive, as there is a clear progression pathway into a more senior supervisory role.

The higher end of the salary band will be considered for candidates who hold SSSTS and demonstrate strong supervisory capability.
