About the Role

Join Glendale’s Corporate team as a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader and become part of a company that offers valuable career prospects and invests in its people. Glendale is a leading green space management service provider in the UK, specialising in tree care, grounds maintenance, and landscaping. As a Team Leader, you will assist the Supervisor and Senior Team Leaders in delivering programmed maintenance effectively. You will take responsibility for site operations including timekeeping, productivity, managing breaks, and liaising with the public, visitors, and deliveries. You will proactively lead by example, motivate and guide your team, and maintain workforce discipline. Additionally, you will ensure safe operation and maintenance of company and hire vehicles, machinery, and equipment, including daily checks and servicing records. Other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor as required.

Experience
Essential experience in grounds maintenance.
Confident with good people management skills.
Experienced in operating a wide variety of small engine machinery.
Good IT knowledge.

Adaptable to different working techniques with a strong work ethic.
Reliable, conscientious, and able to work on your own initiative.
Capable of motivating and leading a team while maintaining discipline.
Aware of all relevant industry Health & Safety legislation.

Qualifications
Full, clean driving licence is essential.
PA1 & PA6 qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
