About the Role
Enva Recycling Scotland is recruiting a 4 on 4 nightshift HGV Trade Driver to join our team in Newbridge. In this role you will safely and competently operate assigned vehicles on allocated routes in a timely, professional and customer-focused manner. Key responsibilities include reporting any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents promptly to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence. You will complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit reports to the Transport department, report all accidents, vehicle defects and breakdowns.
Waste transportation duties involve operating HGV vehicles to collect, transport, and deliver waste materials between designated locations while ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes. You will be responsible for sheeting all loads to ensure secure transit of waste on the public highway and completing relevant tickets or using handheld devices as appropriate, obtaining customer signatures.
Maintaining health, safety and welfare standards in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions is essential. You will also maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab, assist in the control and coordination of work to ensure efficiency and productivity, and ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. This is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to carry out any other duties as required by the business that you are qualified or trained in that meet the scope, spirit and purpose of this role.

Experience
Proven experience operating HGV Class 2 vehicles in a professional and safe manner is required.

About you
You should have a professional and organised approach, good time management skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Effective communication skills, initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are essential. Flexibility and commitment to the role are also important.

Qualifications
Must hold a Class 2 LGV driving licence and a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
