Location
Brixton - SW2 1SB or Merton Abbey (Colliers Wood) - SW19 2EB, South London region including Brixton, Streatham, Croydon areas and the Thames Water Ring Main.

Hours
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm plus standby and overtime opportunities, increasing earning potential by approximately £8,000-£10,000 per annum.

Salary
Up to £57,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) Technician to join our Water Production Operations Team. This mobile role involves working across various Water Treatment Works and the Thames Water Ring Main. You will be responsible for installations, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of water production assets including level instrumentation, flow meters, and turbidity monitors (TVMs). The role requires working with SCADA systems, PLCs, and process control networks. You will liaise with and supervise contractors and suppliers as needed, investigate asset failures, and implement repairs promptly to avoid interruptions to water supply. Additionally, you will provide specialist technical advice, maintain C&I assets on the Thames Water ring main, and support training for technical apprentices. All necessary PPE, tools, a company van, and fuel are provided.

Requirements

Experience
- Practical experience in calibration and maintenance of front-line instrumentation.
- Knowledge and experience with relay logic and PLCs (Rockwell & Allen Bradley), including management and programming.
- Ability to read and fault-find from circuit diagrams.
- Experience with inverter drives is desirable.
- Understanding of operational plant and control systems.
- Familiarity with Wonderware and ClearSCADA is desirable.

Qualifications
- Ideally qualified to HNC level or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in instrumentation, control and automation discipline.
- Preferably holds an 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification.
