Salary
£45,000 per annum (starting salary), with potential to earn between £47,000 and £52,000 depending on experience and skills.

About the Role
We are recruiting an Inventory Operations Manager to join our Inventory & Supply team, responsible for warehousing, storage, and distribution of materials and critical equipment across Thames Water’s front-line teams. Operating 24/7 throughout the year, this team manages multiple inventory locations ensuring safe custody, real-time visibility, and timely delivery of essential materials to support front-line operations.

In this critical role, you will oversee the establishment and management of storage locations aligned with service level agreements across multiple sites. You will ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and inventory control processes, lead and develop a team of inventory operatives, manage rotas, and uphold performance standards.

You will manage inbound receipt and outbound distribution of critical materials using SAP Warehouse Management and RF technology, maintain accurate stock records with zero discrepancies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service continuity during incidents and emergencies.

Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management.
- Demonstrable expertise in SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and RF systems (essential).
- Valid forklift licenses for counterbalance and reach truck.
- Proven leadership experience in logistics or warehousing operations.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Full driving licence.
- Ability to lead and develop a team, manage rotas, and maintain high performance standards.

Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in warehouse management or logistics are desirable but not explicitly required.
- Forklift licenses (counterbalance and reach truck) are mandatory.
