About the Role
Test the water and explore a new career in Bioresources, a vital part of Anglian Water's Water Recycling process. The role focuses on the treatment of wastewater at 10 Sludge Treatment Centres using advanced anaerobic digestion processes. These processes generate renewable energy in the form of Biogas, which can be converted to electricity, and produce a high-quality biosolids cake product used in agriculture as a soil conditioner. With increasing sludge production driven by population growth and tightening environmental standards, the Bioresources team ensures the safe and sustainable treatment of sewage sludge.

The Lead Bioresources Technician reports to the Bioresources Treatment Manager and plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of water recycling and bioresource processes and systems. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing improvements, assisting in day-to-day site management, coordinating resources, liaising with contractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and supporting the team of Bioresources Technicians.

Employee Benefits
As a valued employee, you will receive personal private health care, 25 days annual leave (rising with length of service), business use of a company van plus access to tools, uniform and PPE, a competitive pension scheme with Anglian Water double-matching contributions up to 6%, a bonus scheme, flexible benefits to support wellbeing and lifestyle, a flexible working culture, life assurance at 8x your salary, personal accident cover up to 5x your salary, numerous discounts, paid time off when physically or mentally unwell, and an excellent family leave package to support your family.
