Full Time - 37 hours per week with flexibility for part-time.

Salary
Circa £47,500 per annum dependent on skills and experience + Overtime + Standby + Company Vehicle (All PPE, Tools, and fuel card provided).

About the Role
Operational Technology (OT) refers to the digital assets at the heart of Anglian Water's industrial operations. OT systems enable remote monitoring and control of water collection, treatment, and distribution processes across our geographical region.

As an OT Field Engineer, your primary focus will be the maintenance, repair, and commissioning of OT hardware, systems, and networks. This critical infrastructure supports real-time monitoring and control of operational plant and processes across our Water and Water Recycling estate.

Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnostics, repair and replacement of OT field hardware including telemetry outstations, I/O modules, power supplies, PLCs, HMIs, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), modems, routers, and switches.
- Undertaking minor modifications to process automation and control systems to support regulatory compliance and process continuity.
- Performing preventive maintenance on OT hardware, systems, and networks.
- Firmware and software upgrades/patching of OT equipment to maintain security and compliance.
- Supporting operational teams during planned maintenance to ensure OT assets are correctly shut down and brought back online.
- Conducting site surveys, installation, and commissioning of OT hardware, systems, and networks.
- Performing minor PLC modifications and telemetry IO wiring changes to support new instrumentation and plant.
- Providing technical on-site support to OT framework partners for service integration of new or modified OT assets.
- Undertaking post-installation quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to defined standards.

Experience
- Ideally educated to HNC/HND or equivalent level, or time-served experience in maintenance, commissioning, or field service of electrical, instrumentation, or telecommunications systems.
- City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification preferred.
- Experience or formal training in programming and fault finding of PLC or process control equipment is advantageous.
- Practical experience with maintenance and repair of telemetry outstation hardware and software.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems across integrated hardware and software systems.
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI hardware/software, with experience in vendor platforms such as Rockwell and/or Schneider Electric.
- Familiarity with site-level SCADA systems, ideally including Rockwell platforms.
- Understanding of industrial control networks and protocols (Ethernet, Fieldbus, RS232/485).
- Knowledge of IP networking principles and IP addressing fundamentals.
- Understanding of communication technologies relevant to dispersed sites (radio, mobile, ADSL).
- Familiarity with industrial OT cybersecurity principles and controls.
- Good working knowledge of DC/AC supplies, UPS systems, and Low Voltage electrical distribution installations.

- Ideally educated to ONC/HNC level in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering or equivalent experience.
